Serve Through The Week
Below are some "roles" that we have a need to be filled at Iron Works. These roles being filled with passionate people could be a game changer for us. And sometimes we just need to know what the church needs and so that we can find a role that God has pointed us to. Children's Ministry Leader
This one is a doozie, we have been lead to be intentional about taking care of the children that our families bring to church. That way the children can be loved for and built up by the word on their level and the adults can have zero distractions as they worship and become open to an encounter with God. Currently (January 2019), we are trying to increase the physical footprint of the church so that when we do get a children's minister, they have room they need and a blank slate to start with. We would be unable to pay for a full time salary at the start but would be willing to help with cash however we could. Sunday mornings would be the focus of the Children's minister but a Wednesday night service would also be valuable to our church health. We would expect this leader to be a follower of Christ and become a member of the Nazarene church.
Secretary
We need an administrative assistant that would work a couple days a week helping with every day task of the church. We would also expect the secretary to take the board meeting minutes. This position would be paid (that's why we would only want this person to work limited hours). Typing and "computer skills" would be required for this position.
Building Director
We have a building that is used hard and put away wet so to speak. The building director's main goals would be to schedule the church use, keep the church clean by lining up volunteers/procedures to insure it's kept clean and maintained, assist with the organization of the physical space and maintaining supplies in the building to carry out the functions of said building. This role would be a volunteer role that would take a organize person that is lead to be a deacon of the church.
Event Leader
There has never been a specific person that has carried this title but it has been shared among many different people. We feel that it would be beneficial to have one person overseeing all the events. We think that this would bring a cohesion and a lesson's learned value to every event. We do not expect the event leader to host the events but to partner with people in our church to bring an event to life. The event leader would be expected to attend board meetings and to plan events in advanced.
Serve at Events
If you don’t have the time to commit to a full time serving position serving at events might fit the gift you have to give. These events are lead by our church members and they will help guide and direct you during your time serving our awesome God.
5th Quarter
Ways to serve: Serving pizza, Setting up & Monitoring games, welcome table.
Men’s Ministry Events
Things like the squirrel derby or sportsmen’s banquets. Usually we need men to help us organize prizes and the event it’s self.
